Jun 06, 2014 Tomodachi Life, known in Japan as Tomodachi Collection: New Life is a life simulation handheld video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 3DS, and the direct sequel to the Japan-exclusive Nintendo DS title, Tomodachi Collection. Jun 30, 2014  Tomodachi Life is only available for the 3DS/2DS so it won't work with anything but. A 3DS game is not backwards compatible; it also has a tab on it meaning it won't fit into the DS/DSi. A 2DS is the exact same thing as a 3DS except it doesn't have 3D capability nor does it flip open like the 3DS.

Before downloading, be sure to link your Nintendo Network ID to your Nintendo Account and visit the Nintendo eShop on your device at least once.

Note

• If you purchased the digital version of Tomodachi Life, there is no need to apply the Ver. 1.1 software update.
• Save data will still be available for use after downloading the update.
• After downloading the update, please do not delete the update data. Update data can be viewed in the Downloadable Content area of the Data Management menu.

Complete these steps

1. Perform a system update to ensure that you have the most up-to-date version.
2. Scan the QR Code pattern below using a Nintendo 3DS system while connected to the Internet.
   • Alternatively, you can download the update from the Nintendo 3DS HOME menu.
3. Select the Tomodachi Life Update and download it. Once the download is complete, the update will automatically be applied.
   • Once the update is installed, the newest version number will be displayed on the title screen.
